VineJive
A wine and beverage website centered on recipes and content discovery. Built with WordPress, Astra, and Spectra to give wine enthusiasts an inviting place to explore ideas and beverage-related content.
Bringing Wine and Recipe Content Together
VineJive is a wine and beverage website centered on exploring wine-related content and recipes. The idea is to give visitors a place to discover drinks, explore ideas, and engage with content around wine in a way that feels accessible rather than intimidating.
The website needed a presentation that suited its subject while making the content easy to browse and read. The challenge was to create an experience that felt engaging and visually appealing without allowing the design to get in the way of the content itself.
My work focused on building the website in WordPress, using Astra and Spectra to bring the page layouts and content experience together.
The Opportunity
Making the Content the Main Attraction
Wine and beverage content can appeal to different kinds of visitors, from people looking for a recipe to those simply exploring something new.
For a content-led website like VineJive, the structure matters. Visitors need to understand what the site offers and be able to move naturally through its content without unnecessary friction.
I approached the build with three priorities in mind:
Content discovery: Give the website a clear structure that supports browsing.
Visual appeal: Use the presentation of the content to make the subject inviting.
Readability: Keep page layouts clear so visitors can focus on the information and recipes.
The Design & Development Approach
01 – Building Around the Content
I approached the website as a content-driven experience, where page structure and presentation should support the material being published.
The focus was on bringing the site’s content into a clear layout rather than relying on unnecessary visual complexity. This helps the website maintain a recognizable identity while keeping the information central to the experience.
02 – Creating a Cohesive Website
A content website needs consistency across its pages. I used WordPress with Astra and Spectra to build the website’s layouts and bring its visual elements together.
The aim was to create a cohesive presentation that suited the wine and beverage subject matter while providing a practical foundation for the site’s content.
03 – Supporting the Reading Experience
The way content is presented affects how comfortably visitors can explore it. I focused on keeping the page structure organized and the layouts clear, allowing the website’s content to remain the primary focus.
04 – Building for Ongoing Content
As a content-led website, VineJive needed a setup that could support continued publishing. Building with WordPress provided a content management foundation for adding and maintaining material over time.
The Outcome
A Home for Wine and Beverage Content
VineJive brings its wine and beverage focus into a dedicated website built around content presentation and discoverability.
The project demonstrates my work with WordPress-based content websites, combining page layout, visual consistency, and a practical publishing setup using Astra and Spectra.
