FlowPay
A fintech mobile app concept exploring a clearer, more approachable banking experience. Designed in Figma, with a focus on financial information, straightforward navigation, and a consistent mobile interface.
Making Everyday Banking Feel Simpler
FlowPay is a fintech mobile app concept exploring how everyday financial tasks can be presented through a clear, approachable, and easy-to-navigate interface.
Financial apps handle information people need to understand quickly, from their available balance to their transaction activity and other account-related tasks. When these details are poorly organized, even familiar actions can feel unnecessarily complicated.
I designed FlowPay in Figma to explore a more straightforward mobile banking experience, combining a clean visual interface with clear navigation and a consistent design language.
The Opportunity
Clarity Matters When Money Is Involved
A financial app needs to do more than look modern. Users should be able to understand the information in front of them and recognize where to go when they need to complete a task.
For this concept, I focused on three design priorities:
Clear information: Present financial information in a way that feels organized and easy to scan.
Straightforward navigation: Make the interface easy to understand without forcing users to work through unnecessary complexity.
A consistent experience: Use familiar visual patterns and reusable components to create continuity across the interface.
These priorities shaped my approach to the layout, visual hierarchy, and overall presentation of the app.
The Design Direction
Friendly, Clean, and Functional
I explored a visual style that feels approachable without losing the clarity expected from a financial product. Clean layouts, simple icons, clear content groupings, and cheerful colors help give the interface personality while keeping the focus on usability.
The goal was to balance visual appeal with the practical needs of a banking interface. Financial information should remain easy to identify, while interface elements should help users understand what they can do next.
The UX Approach
01 – Organizing Information for Quick Understanding
In a banking interface, important information needs to be easy to locate. I focused on creating a clear visual hierarchy so the main content could stand out from supporting information and secondary actions.
This approach helps the interface feel structured rather than crowded, giving users a more comfortable way to scan the information presented to them.
02 – Keeping Navigation Straightforward
I approached the interface with simplicity in mind, using clear categories and consistent UI patterns to make the app easier to move through.
Rather than introducing unnecessary visual complexity, the design prioritizes recognizable elements and a predictable structure across the screens.
03 – Building a Consistent Interface
I used reusable components and Figma’s Auto Layout to support consistency throughout the design. This helped establish repeatable patterns for interface elements and made the layouts easier to organize and adjust.
Beyond visual consistency, a shared component structure provides a more maintainable foundation if the concept is expanded with additional screens later.
UI Design & Prototyping
Bringing the Interface Together in Figma
I developed the mobile app interface in Figma, bringing together the screen layouts, visual styling, iconography, and reusable components.
The work focused on creating a cohesive experience rather than treating each screen as an isolated design. Consistent spacing, clear hierarchy, and repeatable UI patterns helped connect the interface into a unified product concept.
The prototype provides a way to present and explore the designed experience, bringing the interface beyond static screens.
The Outcome
A Foundation for a More Approachable Banking Experience
FlowPay explores how thoughtful interface design can make a fintech product feel clearer and easier to navigate. The concept brings together an approachable visual direction, organized information, and a reusable component structure in a mobile-first experience.
The project allowed me to explore the relationship between visual design and usability in fintech, where clarity and consistency are especially important.
Project note: FlowPay is a self-initiated UI/UX concept designed in Figma. It is not a live banking product.
